Senckenberg publications

The Senckenberg Nature Research Society (SGN) is best known for operating and supporting the Senckenberg Natural History museum in Frankfurt.

The Senckenberg Museum is one of the largest and most venerable Natural History Museums in Germany. Its goal is to exhibit recent biodiversity of life and evolution of organisms and to document the change taking place on planet Earth since its formation 4.55 Ga ago. New scientific findings in all areas of biology, paleontology and geology are on display.

In line with its statutes, the Society engages in many research projects on all things living and their history, and the environment and to disseminate the results in public lectures, publications and the museum for the benefit of society.

Senckenberg Naturforschende Gesellschaft (Senckenberg Natural History Society) publishes eleven scientific series and didactic materials relating to the Senckenberg Museum.
